The business was established in 2011 by Paul and Nicola, with George joining later in the year.

Paul and Nicola are both Financial Planners, and George works with Paul to manage the portfolios, as well as compliance and operational aspects of the business.

Financial services can appear mysterious, but we aim to be transparent, especially regarding fees or providing information about what and how we do things. We are happy to share our knowledge, and this website is part of that.

The client lies at the heart of our business and understanding individuals’ goals is imperative to developing a plan. Our process aims to support the client in achieving their objectives.

To deliver on the plan we invest funds on behalf of clients, and we have been doing this since 2009 (in our previous company). Clients can see our track record over many years and have full access to the portfolios. We undertake considerable research into the funds that go into our portfolios; meeting over 100 fund managers a year, and the notes on these are available for clients to read.

We can take contrarian approaches; in 2009 we decided not to rely just on bonds (company and government debt) as an alternative to equities and have developed this over many years which has worked well. We also like to ‘get in early’ with themes, and in 2014 we produced our Ethical Portfolio, which we have developed further into our Positive Impact range of Portfolios.

Outside of the portfolios, we worked with the FCA (our regulatory body) and developed our own risk profile tool, and financial planning tools.

Today, we have approximately £135 million in assets under management for around 80 families, and within the portfolios we manage just over £100 million.

This success in managing funds for our clients has also allowed us to donate over £100,000 to charitable causes both in the UK and abroad.
